Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)

Stanbridge Limited specialises in room equipment and design for hospitals, nursing homes and care homes. With a focus on protecting patients, residents and staff, Stanbridge manufactures mechanical bedpan washers/disinfectors, basins, sluices and work surfaces for a range of customers across the UK. About the role:

Due to continual growth, we are seeking a versatile engineer to fill a hybrid role that involves both fieldwork, specifically servicing and repairing equipment in Care and Nursing Homes, as well as spending time working within the factory. This type of role requires a candidate with a diverse skill set, including hands-on technical abilities, excellent communication skills and the flexibility to switch between on-site and in-factory responsibilities. The role involves a varied working week where no 2 days are the same! The role would suit a flexible worker who can demonstrate flexible autonomy structuring their working days The position would involve covering the Southeast Region; performing servicing and machine repairs to our equipment situated within care homes, hospitals & hospices across the area. 

Responsibilities:

• Responding to call-outs to servicing machines and deal with other repairs when required
• Provide on-site technical assistance and support during the installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment or systems
• Install a range of Stanbridge products daily at clients’ locations
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, faults or malfunctions in a timely manner to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations
• Conduct testing procedures to ensure the proper functioning and performance of equipment and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Communicate effectively with clients, end-users and project stakeholders to understand their requirements, address concerns and provide training when necessary
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of on-site activities, including installation logs, technical documentation and service reports
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers and other team members to coordinate activities and ensure project goals are met
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others on-site
• Packing / testing / stocktake when working in the factory

Skills Required:

• Experience in a similar role
• Previous plumbing / electrical experience is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
• Time management skills with the ability to organise their schedule day-to-day.
• Exceptional presentation with great communication skills
• Being able to communicate and relay information effectively with the client, employees and the office
• Ability to work within a team environment in the factory and alone
• Must have a valid UK Drivers Licence
