Salary: Circa £68,000 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering the strategy and detailed plans to allow migration of all manufacturing and logistics activities from the current factory to the new factory
  • Interfacing with internal stakeholders to ensure that customer quality requirements are understood and on time deliveries maintained throughout the factory migration period
  • With support from indirect procurement, leading the tender process for 3rd party involvement in the migration activity i.e., factory equipment movers
  • Working with value stream leads and their teams to provide the resources required to complete the factory migration to the schedule and budget set out in the programme plan
  • Working closely with the SHE team to maintain safety at all times throughout the migration
  • Communicating the plans and progress of the factory migration to the Operations workforce to keep them informed of upcoming changes

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience in the management of complex manufacturing processes
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent and influential relationships across all levels within the business, with a demonstrated ability to operate in a cross functional environment prioritising business needs and requirements
  • Project management experience with planning and executing large complex programmes of work

Desirable:

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • An understanding of MRP systems and associated tools

The Operations team:

The Operations Manager (Site Transformation) will lead the planning, migration, and process validation of all manufacturing from the current facility to a new purpose-built factory on the Rochester site. As a key member of the Site Transformation leadership team, the Operations Manager will also be the CAM for the migration work package within the overall Site Transformation project plan.

The main purpose of this critical role is to ensure business continuity throughout the migration activity so that there is no un-planned disruption to customer deliveries, no increases to manufacturing costs/efficiencies and ultimately no impact to planned annual Sales of £350M. To achieve this, significant detailed planning will be required in advance of the migration including gaining a deep understanding of customer/contractual requirements in relation to moving manufacturing location and re-starting/re-validating manufacturing processes.
