The Opportunity

This role is responsible supporting the delivery of the Agile Organisation and Culture Transformation programme for Jaguar Land Rover. This role will act across a complex and fast changing landscape with a view of defining and delivering our in-house agile coaching and scrum master development programme and the development of our agile knowledge centre to support colleagues apply agile ways of working to support us to embed and sustain the change within the organisation.

The right person will have a core skill set in organisation development, change management, learning and development and project management capability. They will act a role model for customer love and ensure resources across the enterprise are directed towards value-add activity that supports strategic priorities for the agile transformation programme.

The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the design and delivery of agile organisational development strategies and the management of change in support of the organisation’s strategic and operational plans, providing information, advice, and services as required. Working with teams across the business and the People Team, to support a programme of continuous organisational performance improvement which helps the product delivery value chain achieve its ambition of delivering product to market faster.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • To design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes, and interventions that support embedding the ambition to be a high performing agile organisation
  • To support specific performance improvement initiatives, e.g. through the implementation of a new development programmes for agile coaches and scrum masters
  • To identify opportunities for performance improvement through, for example, undertaking internal diagnosis, process/system reviews in order to understand barriers and possible solutions, conducting external research into good practice and new ideas
  • To commission and manage additional internal or external resources as and when required in order to ensure cost-effective delivery of agreed OD initiatives
  • To design and development the requirements to deliver ACDP and SMDP and successfully embedded them into our agile cultural transformation
  • To work with stakeholders to determine the scale of the pilot groups
  • To deliver the first pilots of ACDP and SMDP
  • To development the agile knowledge academy self-serving offering in partnership with our leadership development and technical training teams
  • To contribute research, analysis, and ideas to the development of the agile transformation strategy in order to ensure that organisational development initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Organisation development particularly around developing organisational culture and Learning & Development
  • Track record in delivering successful OD projects and supporting major organisational change; influencing, building and sustaining relationships in order to achieve results.
  • Experience of, and commitment to, continuous organisational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
  • Significant experience of all aspects of organisation development in large complex organisations involving major reorganisation.
  • Able to conduct organisation diagnostics, analytics and benchmarking and generate ideas to make agile adoption more effective
  • Commercial awareness and ability to derive associated business benefits aligned to embedding capability building programmes.
  • Able to identify where processes, skills, people decisions, values, reward systems and leadership styles need to be strengthened to make the chosen organisation structure work
  • Developing and delivering learning interventions
  • Experience of employing change management approaches, tools and techniques, including designing and delivering change Impact analysis
  • Experience of working at senior management level
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of Agile Project Management
  • Previous experience and/or knowledge of a range of research techniques and methodologies
  • Commercially minded with an ability to understand the business function that this role supports
