Job Title: Plastic Welder Fabricator

Location: Marden, Kent

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience)

Job type: Full-time / permanent. 40 hours per week.

Approximately 50% of the products are still manufactured at Burtons HQ in Marden which now boasts an extensive range of capabilities including; CAD design, CNC machining, laser cutting, metal fabrication, plastic fabrication, wood shop, paint shop, full assembly & testing. Although still focused on the veterinary sector, Burtons have diversified into allied areas such as vehicle conversions for canine transportation & animal ambulances to grooming equipment and aquatic systems.

About the role:

Burtons Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (part of the Burtons Group of Companies) has a new vacancy for a Plastic Welder Fabricator to join their existing team. The successful candidate will be assisting within the busy plastic manufacturing and fabrication workshop reporting to the Plastic Fabrication Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Work from engineering drawings, sketches or specifications.
  • Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
  • Produce products constructed from box sections and sheets of varying thickness from 3mm to 9mm and finished to a high standard.
  • Inspect structures or materials to be worked.
  • Maintain equipment and machinery.

Skills Required:

  • Must have experience in Manufacturing and/or Engineering.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Good communication.
  • Good timekeeping.
