Salary: Circa £60000 depending on experience 

What we can offer you:

  • Bonus of up to 21% of base salary (Level 5)
  • Company bonus of up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year) (Levels 1-4)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work xxxx days per week on-site.

Role Purpose:

Managing allocated elements of the MBDA Project Management & Control Systems and toolsets, coordinating methods of use including processes and guidelines, providing associated communities or practice as required and providing inputs to support development of associated training courses in the PM Academy

The opportunity:

Initially this will focus on taking on topics for business delivery improvement from the UK & Group change programmes which may include Risk & opportunity Management, Schedule Risk, Project Resourcing and Sales & Operational Planning.

Within MBDA there is a growing Order Book and also a growing workforce in need of good, clear and consistent application with respect to project management & control processes, systems and training.

Business Improvement focus:

  • Liaise with stakeholders from across the Business Improvement programmes and deployed project teams to ensure good practices are in use through the MBDA Greater Engineering community.
  • Provide support to the business users of these tools and processes.
  • Support development of training material into the PM Academy

General activities may include:

  • Provide PMO-C support to MBDA change programmes (Opera, PM Improvements in Greater Engineering, IMPACT)
  • Development of Project Management & Control operational/reporting practices into UK Portfolio of Defence Equipment & Support capabilities.
  • Provide direct support into project delivery teams to help them through the implementation phase of employing new techniques, practices and tools.
  • Support additional investigations or activities as needed within the perimeter of Project Management Office Capabilities.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Experience of developing and utilising Project Management and Controls processes, systems and tools
  • Experience at working on operational projects within a project management and/or project control role
  • Positive, collaborative behaviours and both able to take the lead for new initiatives whilst demonstrating good team behaviours.
  • Sound business judgement and experience of complex problems.

Demonstration of emotional intelligence when working across a broad and diverse range of stakeholders in a complex organisation
