WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Are you a Powertrain Engineer, hungry to innovate in the heart of the new automotive industry?

 

Our team are progressing to develop the future, and the all-new generation of electrical hardware and software components for the entire range of JLR vehicles. This position will see you responsible for supporting the development and delivery of our reimagine direction and opportunities to work with BRAND NEW technologies for powertrain systems.

 

This position will play a critical role in supporting the rollout of the future strategy of JLR and will create various opportunities to collaborate with multiple business areas.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

As a Powertrain Lead Engineer, you will lead engineering design and development of components & sub-systems which manage the gas-path delivery for hybrid powertrains. This will involve working collaboratively with stakeholders, to deliver the customer requirements at a vehicle level.

In this position you will design and release exhaust systems and other powertrain system components to meet program deadlines and requirements.

 

Knowledge, Skills and experience

 

Essential: 

  • Requirements Management experience.

  • Strong System delivery experience within a major OEM

  • Experience of working in a Powertrain Systems Engineering environment.

  • Strong knowledge of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance across a range of stakeholders.
