Our team in Powertrain are looking for two Powertrain Software Delivery Leads to join their teams focusing on Powertrain Control Modules on Battery Electric Vehicles, Internal Combustion (ICE) and Hybrids. One role to be based out of Gaydon and the other to be based out Whitley.

The role will work alongside subject experts, programme delivery engineers, certification teams, in-house software teams and external software suppliers to define and deliver the roadmaps to production ready software that delivers value to the customer.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Interface between delivery and software management teams facilitating the resolution of road blocks and using burndown charts to track progress against the agreed profile.
  • Software requirements definition to recognised standards and managing these requirements from classification to cascade, and managing test case completion for delivery gateways
  • Working with in-house software suppliers and network teams to create an integrated delivery plan
  • Working with the external suppliers to create and execute a delivery plan that meets stakeholders needs, programme costs and supports attribute maturity at programme milestones
  • Engaging with suppliers in weekly reviews on progress and blockers
  • Responsibility for releasing and release activities of SW to manufacturing and build teams

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Knowledge and application of software creation, validation, delivery processes and relevant toolsets
  • Delivery of Engineering and or analytical projects preferably within the automotive industry

  • Experience of SW supplier management and coordination
