The Team:
You will play a key role in the JSS2 Programme currently being delivered within BAE Systems. As a Principal Engineer, you will be providing ship-facing front desk support to the in service RN Platforms, providing support to Operational Defects and maintaining Combat System availability across platforms such as the Type 45 Destroyers, Type 23 Frigates and the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier programme.
You will report directly to the Ship Service Engineering Manager and will provide intermediate support to the JSS2 team. You will be responsible for supporting the completion of department objectives by organising and monitoring work process.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a range both internal and external stakeholders in a fast paced and reactive role providing support to front line modern Naval Warships within the Combat Systems Environment. You will work with a highly experienced multi-disciplined team where there's potential for career development, support towards achieving professional registration and opportunity of working on board naval ships.
