AWE currently has an exceptional opportunity to join us as a Principal Delivery Lead. The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of delivery within Integrated Hydrodynamics trials both in the UK and overseas facilities.

Location: Reading

Salary: £62,020 - £88,000 (dependant on experience)

The Role?

As Principal Delivery Lead you will hold the following accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Integrated Hydrodynamics: Ensure Principal Delivery Lead elements of handover are implemented to assist transition to business as usual for Integrated Hydrodynamics Trials (UK & EPURE, France). Act as the focal point for trial deconfliction across Integrated Hydrodynamics.
  • Resource Planning: Responsible for the balancing of future demand against capability across the Delivery Unit.
  • Financial Planning: Ensure a rigorous internal finance control and governance framework is in place and is complied with for relevant functional activities. Ensure that budgets and funding are correctly configured, and appropriate governance applied.
  • Operations and Programme Development: Act as the interface between operations and programme to ensure delivery and management of assigned projects in accordance with requirements, operational constraints, time, cost, and quality.
  • Manage Trial Maturity Matrix: Manage long-range plan to enable comprehensive and realistic forecasting to meet all programme demand.
  • Manage Trial Stakeholders: Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to minimise risks and optimise opportunities for effective delivery of capability.
  • Manage Business Reporting and Metrics: Ensure that performance metrics, procedures, processes and systems are developed, implemented and of a quality that delivers against Delivery Unit Programme requirements.

Whilst not to be considered a checklist, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communications skills - able to inspire, motivate and engage widely across the business.
  • Proven ability to develop solutions to complex problems that requires regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Resolution focused with the ability to be flexible and creative in approach and able to work across functions to reach the conclusions, decisions and ways forward collaboratively.
  • Project Management experience delivering a wide range of projects.
  • Experience of Leading and building multi-disciplinary teams to achieve complex outcomes.
  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholders.
