The role

As an Principal Requirements and Acceptance Engineer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for defining, managing, and verifying requirements, and ensuring that all systems meet the acceptance criteria.

Day to day, you'll Manage the assurance and acceptance process with our customers and suppliers, as well as:

  • Deriving and managing requirements for systems and sub-systems.
  • Ensuring requirements compliance is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Defining acceptance methodologies for system and sub-system requirements.
  • Providing R&A guidance to the wider project
  • Providing input into various design reviews.
  • Supporting system certification

This role is full time and based at our Bristol site.

Essential experience of the Principal Requirements and Acceptance Engineer:

  • Experience in Requirements elicitation and management and/or acceptance of complex systems.
  • Experience of using requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles.

Qualifications for the Principal Requirements and Acceptance Engineer:

  • Degree level qualification in STEM subject (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths) or equivalent industry / armed forces experience.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
