The role

As a Principal Supportability Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The role will play a key part in developing future in-service support solutions for our future global customers and exports in addition to ex-Royal Navy vessels being sold to second operators.

Day to day, you'll provide a key role working on a range of strategically important programmes.

  • To derive the support strategy for our growth programmes.
  • Informing our ILS strategy for our exports.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders as well as our customers/partners to deliver the associated bid documentation.

This role is a full-time role, with a flexible working location however travel to sites in Bristol and/or Plymouth is required as well as occasional national/international travel to our customer facilities.


Essential experience of the Principal Supportability Engineer:

  • Experienced in ILS, Support and/or Programme roles.
  • Experience of working within highly regulated industry at Senior Engineer level or above.
  • Competency in verbal and written communications at Exec/Board level.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills.

Qualifications for the Principal Supportability Engineer:

  • Professionally registered engineer at CEng level is desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
