At L3Harris in Brighton we are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. We specialise in high performance electro-mechanical systems and pneumatic technology for airborne weapon carriage release

In this position, you will join a project team of around 10 people focusing on the new development of our next generation of release products.

You will work with purchasing, design, engineering and other stakeholders across the business managing the internal production planning to ensure timely manufacture of customer orders are achieved, customer requirements are met and sales targets satisfied.

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is willing to get involved with new product development and be a pivotal part of an expanding team.

What the role will involve

If you join our team of dedicated experts, the responsibilities of your role will include the following:

• Ensure work order, pick lists and drawing packs are raised and expedited in line with MRP requirement
• Liaise with the purchasing department to expedite or progress delivery of products to ensure meeting manufacturing & customer requirements.
• Liaise with all manufacturing departments to progress and prioritise work through to timely completion
• Run & facilitate projects using Gant charts or MS Project if required.
• Plan and manage production schedules and through put using the MRP based planning.

What you’ll bring

The role of Production Controller requires the following experience and skills:

• Previous manufacturing or Production Control/Planning knowledge
• The candidate should be numerate, literate, hardworking, organised and possess a pleasant manner with a methodical approach to their work.
• They should be a self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team with a willingness to learn.
• A strong and willing to challenge nature
• Proficient competence with Microsoft office, outlook, Word & Excel
• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload appropriately.
