Purpose of the role:

To provide support, knowledge, and expertise in all engineering matters with a bias to electrical services, for the portfolio of projects delivered by the Estates Capital Projects team.  This portfolio includes the programme of NT Infrastructure Upgrade projects to be delivered by March 2026.

 

The role will act as a point of contact for Contractors, Designers, NT Project Managers, external Project Managers and the Programme Manager for engineering related queries, design information, specification queries, co-ordination matters, investigations, surveys, and liaison with the Facilities team (who are responsible for providing engineering services to Business-as-Usual operations).

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Demonstrable relevant experience as a Project Engineer (Electrical Bias) working on a portfolio of building, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with internal NT stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors.
  • An understanding of the Building Regulations, construction standards, EWR, COSHH, manual handling and quality assurance.
  • A recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent with qualifications to degree level or HNC.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of commonplace electrical engineering infrastructure and systems
