Salary: Up to £60,000 - Depending on Skills and Experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide technical leadership, Engineering expertise and direction to a multi-skilled Engineering team
  • Drive forward the required development, build, test and qualification activities ensuring adherence to the Engineering Lifecycle and Maturity reviews
  • Support technical discussions with senior and external stakeholders (including the customer) as well as working collaboratively with quality, safety, and technical authorities
  • Directs work assignments, scheduling, reporting and reviews of work in progress ensuring adherence to programme schedule and budget
  • Planning of future activities to support delivery of the overall programme including assessing new work scope

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience in delivering a development project as the project engineering manager (or team lead of a complex programme)
  • Experience in managing a qualification and test programme reaching successful customer acceptance
  • Requires an understanding of concepts and principles relating to an area within an engineering discipline, ideally software and electronics
  • Ideally knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering and agile software development approaches

The BAE Systems Mine Counter Measure Team

The BAE Systems MCM team provides MCM capability to customers worldwide, both government and commercial customers. This role will provide engineering management support as part of a team delivering a new MCM capability to the Republic of Korean Navy through a development, build, test, and qualification programme ahead of a full production contract. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge, with the potential to lead into more senior positions within a global business.
