Salary: £11.00 - £12.00 per hour + overtime (dependent on experience)

About the role:

Due to continual growth, we are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our established team in the manufacturing of bespoke fasteners and precision components. This is a pivotal role within the business ensuring our quality targets and promise to customers are met. The ideal candidate must have manufacturing experience, ideally in a turned part environment. The ability to use measuring tools accurately is essential. The candidate must demonstrate a good level of understanding of technical information and engineering drawings to be able to accurately assess the quality of the parts manufactured.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct AQL checks on in process manufacturing.
• Support production team by completing Quality led activities.
• Management of Containment activities and costs, to achieve best service at best cost.
• To help organise gauges and work to build up the gauge data base.
• Consistently identify opportunities for improvement within the department and record all improvements.
• The candidate must understand ISO 9001.
• Must be able to work from Engineering Drawings, detailed verbal and written instructions, specifications.
• Have an eye for detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The ability to inspect first off & finished components with general inspection equipment alongside other duties associated with the position.
• To ensure all department procedures are adhered to.

Skills Required:

• At least two years' experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• High attention to detail with a "right first time" mentality.
• Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable preventive action plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate to expected deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills.
• Should be a self-starter, organised, confident and a great communicator at all levels,
