An excellent opportunity for an Experienced Refrigeration Development Engineer to join a well-established company based in Bognor Regis.

The Company:

They design and manufactures bespoke precision-controlled fridges, freezers and incubators from design concept and prototype stage, through to full production and despatch. They are capable of building products that can reliably maintain any temperature between -50ºC and +85ºC.

The company is now looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join their expanding design and technical team. This Design Engineer role would suit individuals who have robust AutoCAD skills, coming to the end of their degree and wanting to develop hands on engineering skills in a busy manufacturing environment.

About the Role:

As part of the design and development team you will be responsible for the development of new products and maintenance and improvements to their existing range.   The priority will be their range of solar and mains powered refrigerators which are deployed to help save lives in developing countries. You will also be responsible for maintenance and improvements to the existing product portfolio.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• You will assist in the development and manufacture of prototype units for testing and evaluation.
• Carry out performance testing of refrigerators and refrigeration systems.
• Propose appropriate design improvements and potential cost savings across our range of products
• Provide technical support to our production team to resolve issues.
• Occasional field visits to provide on-site customer support. 
• Develop quality control procedures for new refrigeration designs to ensure consistency.
• Ability to self-educate to overcome new technical challenges and keep abreast of the latest innovations within the industry.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• Sound knowledge of refrigeration principles. 
• Must have F-Gas category 1 or 2  
• Brazing 
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Desirable:

• Minimum NVQ level 2 or other relevant refrigeration qualification. 
• Basic electrical knowledge.

Working Hours: 38 hours per week.

This is a full-time position and in return the company is offering a Competitive Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
