Job Title: Router Operator / Diamond Miller/ Machinist - Day or Night Shift

Carville is a well-established manufacturer and are renowned experts in machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade plastics, especially Acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components.

The Role:

We are looking for Router (Manual or CNC) Operators / Diamond Millers / General Machinists who will be able to set up & run parts. These operators have the opportunity to grow in the company through training and experience. Candidates need to be able to work on their own, able to multitask across a number of machines and be proactive to ensure components meet quality requirements, working closely with QA.

Key Responsibilities for Operator:

* Operation of machinery including manual routers, CNC routers and diamond milling.
* Liaise with Shop Floor Manager on timescales and priorities
* Ensure consistent quality of parts produced
* Be proactive in ensuring work has all necessary tooling to avoid downtime
* Ensure all work and raw materials in your area are correctly identified with the relevant paperwork
* Work with QA personnel on addressing any issues and supporting continuous improvement actions.

The Candidate:

The role is suitable for someone with experience of manual routing, CNC routing and/ or diamond milling, ideally with some experience of plastics, but wood and metal workers will be considered. Alternatively someone with general machinist skills used to working with tight tolerances on precision components. Training will be provided as required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Experience operating manual routers, CNC routers or precision machining.
* Able to read technical drawings and follow clear instructions.
* Able to use manual measuring equipment
* Willingness to learn and progress

Nice to have Experience:

* Diamond Milling
* CNC machining
