Job description

 

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be responsible for Designing new products and value engineering existing product. You will maintain issued technical data in compliance with our quality accreditation as well as act as a Mentor to junior members of the design team. Currently the Design team consists of five members so is small enough for you to make a visible difference

 

Candidate Requirements

 

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

Essential:

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience in 3D Modelling ideally Solid works or similar.
  • Previous experience working in a sheet metal / fabrication industry.
  • A thorough understanding of manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Multi-tasking skills – ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Time management and Organisational skills- ability work to tight deadlines.

Desirable:

 

  • Experience in 3D construction modelling.
  • Understanding of design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience in Solid works product data management system.
  • An understanding of structural calculations.
  • Experience in electrical & plumbing layouts and schematics.
  • Experience in offsite construction techniques.
