The Senior Engineer role is based within our Translink business area.

The role

The difference our new Senior Engineer will make

As a Senior Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will provide technical support to the Planning & Development Manager for the planning and delivery of track renewals, ensuring all technical aspects of the works comply with relevant group and line standards and safety legislation.

Day to day, you will be carrying out surveying and setting out duties, control of excavation and construction using traditional and modern equipment, including total stations technology. You will also direct other staff and provide guidance and supervision when required.

Roster premium of 16.25% for working a shift pattern of 1:4 nights (5.75%), 1:2 (5%) plus Irregular Unsocial Hours Payment at 5.5%.


Essential experience:
* HNC in an Engineering discipline or working towards.
* Good IT skills.
* Good communication and man management skills.
* Able to drive or willing to learn.
* PTS and COSS
* Good knowledge of track renewals disciplines.
* Excellent knowledge of rules & regulations, H.A.S.A.W and other appropriate regulations
* Excellent knowledge of both group and line standards.
* In depth knowledge of all aspects of track renewals disciplines.
* Extensive experience of a broad range of relevant engineering fields.
* Must have previous experience as a P-Way (permanent way) Engineer
