Drallim is a Specialist Equipment Manufacturer established in 1958 serving the Aerospace, Industrial and Utilities markets. It boasts a wide portfolio of capability and has literally risen from the ashes of a severe fire in 2019, rebuilding every aspect of itself from the buildings, equipment and designs through to its high integrity business processes and approvals. It has been the stalwart performance of their staff who have carried them through and amazingly they remained in profit and achieved a modest sales growth through the period. We see many opportunities on the horizon and so we are now seeking a number of similarly motivated individuals to help grow the business into the future.
In particular we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a diverse range of products, initially focused on cargo hook release mechanisms, lashings and restraints, but with a wide range of contract work bringing in interesting challenges.
The role requires an experience mechanical designer with strong SolidWorks skills gained designing high integrity parts and assemblies for specialist applications. You will need to demonstrate your ability to project manage complex, specification driven requirements in an AS9100 / ISO 9001 environment. Ideally the candidate will have a good engineering knowledge and a HNC / Degree in a relevant subject. If you don’t quite match this profile but are ambitious and attracted to the role, we would still like to hear from you as we anticipate the need for more design staff in the near future.
All applicants must have an established right to work in the UK with fluent English skills.
Drallim is majority owned by an Employee Trust and as such is dedicated to being a friendly and diverse organisation where people with the right skills and attitude can thrive. Benefits include:
4.5-day week
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
Pension Plan
Cash Health care plan
Discretionary bonus
