Salunda Limited is a rapidly growing, privately-owned company originally formed around technology from Oxford University. Headquartered in the UK, the company has established a reputation for rapid delivery of wireless monitoring solutions for safety critical automated equipment used in drilling and production. Its unique monitoring devices, utilizing patented sensor technology and proprietary wireless communications, can be retrofitted for processes where feedback is missing, for example due to extreme danger to personnel, lack of automation or inaccessibility. Initial applications were upstream, particularly offshore drilling and production platforms and this high growth business has become an approved vendor to most of the top 10 global drilling companies.
The company’s sensor technology has now been re-purposed to provide a wireless Geo-fencing and real-time location system that positions it as a key supplier downstream and midstream.
Its customers include the biggest Operators, Asset Owners, Service Companies, OEMs, and System Suppliers to the offshore Oil & Gas space. This profitable, fast-growth company is backed by two well-funded institutional investors. The company’s products and technologies are protected by a large intellectual property portfolio of 70 granted patents.
The company is pursuing an aggressive international expansion so that it can leverage its existing customer activity and accelerate penetration of its preferred addressable markets across the Oil & Gas supply chain. Having already acquired many global accounts over the last 5 years, primarily in upstream it is now positioning itself to operate across both upstream, mid-stream and downstream and creating subsidiaries in strategic geographical locations, the first being North America.
The company’s retrofittable solutions ensure a safer workplace, reduce non-productive time, improve efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs.
The company’s first product introduction was Latch Hawk® for equipment monitoring, deploying a robust, highly reliable, low-powered patented wireless network.
Using this technology, it has successfully launched Crew Hawk®. Salunda has developed the first IECEx Zone 1 certified real-time location system. CrewHawk monitors RedZones and prevents incidents using wireless tracking of workers and equipment. This technology has been integrated with proprietary imaging technology called HaloGuard providing real-time personnel and equipment location monitoring that is fully certified for hazardous environments.
As the company moves to the next phase of its development, and with the increased demand for our products, the company seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive product development and new product introduction.
