The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Management Systems) role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy's new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

The role

The difference our new Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Management Systems) will make:
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Management Systems), you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will have the opportunity to enhance and develop your experience across a wide range of different management systems.

Day to day, you'll manage the interface with process owners and business areas to provide adequate assurance to functional compliance leads and to Licence Condition (LC) owners that proposed revisions to Business Management System (BMS) processes / documents maintain compliance to nuclear, safety, health, environment and quality regulatory requirements. Also manage the customer satisfaction process in line with contractual commitments, this involves continual liaison between internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Essential experience
* Hold or work towards achieving HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject.
* Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 3 or can demonstrate a desire to achieving that level.
* Affiliation to the Chartered Quality Institute [or is prepared to undertake this CPD requirement].
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
