The Role
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to support Babcock with delivering our purpose of Creating a Safe and Secure World Together through the production and manufacture of high-performance military vehicles (Jackal), either directly or within supporting roles.

Day to day, you'll be part of the Quality and Improvement Management Team, to provide assurance at all levels of the business that the Quality Management System (QMS) and associated Policies and Processes has been effectively implemented, thus meeting the needs and expectations of interested parties, ensuring also, compliance with the necessary contractual and legislative requirements. You'll also be responsible for:

* Maintaining the Audit Programme
* Provide support to Site Teams for external audits, including audit preparation, attendance at audits where required and providing post audit advice on corrective action plan
* Co-ordinate site action responses and provide periodic reports on corrective action plans and progress to external bodies such as BV, DQAFF, SMF, DVSA
* Produce periodic Quality Assurance Reports for the Defence Land Management Board
* Provide support to all business functions in creating and maintaining Self-Assessment and Peer Assessment Calendars and Checklists by subject

Essential experience of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
* Demonstrated Internal Audit training and experience
* Experience of production inspection and examination techniques
* Competent PC user (MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint, ERP system)

This is a full time role based onsite at Devonport with potential of working from home 1 day per week.

Qualifications for the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
* Educated to Level 2 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (Intermediate apprenticeship, Level 2 NVQ, GCSE - Grade A* - C, O Level A - C, CSE Grade1) or equivalent workplace experience

* Lead Auditor Qualification
* Completed relevant technical or vocational qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3 (Advanced apprenticeship, level 3 NVQ)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
