Job Title: Senior Scrum Master        

Salary: Circa £60-65K depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage or Bristol

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3  days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

MBDA are committed to changing our ways of working and we are recruiting Scrum Masters to join our growing Agility Practice.

Our Scrum Masters (Team Coaches) work primarily to develop our people and teams by teaching, facilitating, mentoring and coaching. Working as a servant leader that serves teams and works collaboratively within our Agile Practice to grow agile maturity across the organisation.

Beyond that, you will be an Agile Practitioner, working across interesting, complex defence project domains supported by our Agile Coaches, collaborating with colleagues, stakeholders and customers within a large scale Agile programme.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Passionate, committed Scrum Masters (Team Coaches), with good interpersonal skills supporting 1 or 2 technical teams
  • Be a positive, pragmatic and credible Scrum Master, with the ability to clearly articulate agile principles, concepts and the Scrum framework
  • Confident as a teacher or workshop facilitator, building psychological safety within your teams, and help protect and shield the teams from outside distractions
  • Experience of leading scrum team(s) with a scaling framework, would be advantageous
  • Scrum Masters or Team Coaches, with a suitable depth of experience(s) from a military, defence system, engineering or industry domain background
  • We expect a depth of knowledge gained from experience, training / qualifications enabling the successful offering of advice in a clear facilitative way.
