The Typhoon Avionics DASS team:
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has a risen within The Typhoon Avionics Systems Team at BAE Systems for a Senior Systems Engineer - Defensive Aids Sub Systems (DASS). In this dynamic, high performing and growing team you will be responsible for the production and maintenance of the DASS Functional Requirements Document, which captures the functional behaviour of the subsystem equipment (including interfaces) required to achieve the aircraft functionality that each Customer has specified to meet their Defence needs.
This varied and exciting role will have you interfacing with the customers directly. You will have access to ACR (Active Cockpit Rig/ desktop virtual rig), gaining an insight into how customers want to operate the platform/ product. You will also be joining a multi-national/ multi-cultural organisation with the opportunity to develop skill sets in Engineering and Project Management, with some opportunities for overseas travel.
The scope of this role means you will be a good communicator, comfortable in technical meetings with a structured approach to solving complex problems. Experienced and capable of working within agreed standards and procedures, with a clear understanding of the importance of configuration control.
