The role

As a Senior Systems Engineer IP Network/ Tactical Networks, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Mission Systems enable our customers to deliver their mission, through our products and solutions, using intelligence and analysis and delivering critical communication services. Our aim is to be at the centre of our customers' modern digital backbone by connecting and delivering sensors, decision support, and air effectors across military and business domains

Day to day, you'll be supporting our portfolio of existing telecommunication projects or find yourself supporting the development of new technologies through business winning activities and new contracts.

• As an experienced Tactical Network and Bearers Engineer, you will be expected to provide technical expertise in the support of bids, trials, designs, experimentation and programme delivery.
• Delivering technology solutions from the early phases of design through to fielded solutions, whilst engaging and managing stakeholders throughout.
• Develop solutions for demonstration and trial networks within your portfolio of responsible projects.
• Provide technical expertise for existing and emerging Commercial and Military Off-The-Shelf Tactical Network technologies.

Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer IP Network/ Tactical Networks

• Experience of IP Networking and telecommunications industry is essential for this role
• Experience in the design, deployment and support of tactical systems and technologies
• Proven experience in tactical data and information networking systems.
• Proven Knowledge in Situational Awareness, Data, Architecture, Systems and Applications.
• A good understanding of cross domain and cross boundary requirements and interface.
• A proven track record of system design, integration, verification and validation of tests against requirements.

This is a full time, permanent position at our Bristol Technology site with working from home options.

Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer IP Networking/ Tactical Networks

• MEng/MSc/BSc in Engineering, Radio Telecommunications, IP Networking (or similar).
• Or Equivalent Practical Experience.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC Clearance security clearance level for this role.
