What we can offer you:
The opportunity:
The Thermal Analysis Team provides thermal management expertise and solutions across all MBDA products. This is pivotal to the future success of MBDA and the security of the UK in an increasingly unstable world.
As a Thermal Engineer at MBDA, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that will stretch your skills and imagination.
You will be involved in the development of electronic and mechanical equipment in our products as well as underwriting the thermal performance of the systems and their integration into the weapon platforms.
As an important part of the growing Thermal Analysis team, you will have the opportunity to work on the thermal management of air, sea and ground launched missiles, launchers and directed energy weapons. We are also key to the development of future technology in such fields as hypersonic flight, low observability, etc.
Typical activities will range from research & development through to delivery of the product using low and high fidelity thermal modelling, physical testing and liaison with suppliers, customers and other MBDA project team members.
We are a highly motivated, supportive team with a strong desire to improve our effectiveness through training, method & tools development and interaction with the wider business in the UK and abroad.
In our Stevenage office, you will find a supportive environment where people feel valued and are enabled to achieve their full potential. Whilst onsite you will have access to high performance computing systems, subsidised catering, gym facilities and much more. Our Dynamic Working Agreements also allow high levels of flexibility and a balance of office and remote working, both at home and in other MBDA UK offices such as Bristol or Bolton.
