The role

As a Signalling Installation Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will oversee the planning of signalling works and ensure compliance to H&S legilation.

Day to day, you will be responsible to maximise the utilisation of installation staff and ensure safety briefings are delivered. You will also manage the planning of the rail signalling aspects of the works, ensure any changes are managed and that risk/change registers are maintained.

Ensure there are no instances of "non-conformance" when the department is subject to an assessment of competence.
Manage the planning of the signalling aspects of the works to meet or better tendered margins. Ensure changes to scope and specification are managed and that risk/change registers are robustly maintained. Participate and contribute to the development of works in line with Translink End to End process and ensure T- KPI's are met.
Ensure methodologies, resource requirements and estimates and plans are prepared to ensure safe and cost-effective

Essential experience of the Signalling Installation Manager

  • Extensive S&T work experience.
  • Considerable experience in first line man-management.
  • IRSE Licence
  • Able to drive.
  • IT literate.

35 hours per week/Full time. There is some remote working, although you will be required in office about 80% of the time

Qualifications for the Signalling Installation Manager

  • IRSE Licensed (Institution of Railway Signal Engineers)
  • Signalling modules SMTH, Mod 3C, Mod 5 are desirable.
