The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to work on our Openreach Complex Manholes work programme based out of our Depot in Salford. Reporting to the Openreach Operations Manager you will manage operational teams to deliver high quality projects, on time, and within budget.

The person

The successful candidate will have previous experience supervising the construction of manholes for Openreach and will have a good general understanding of multi-way duct installation.

Roles and responsibilities

• Liaise with the client, sub-contractors and other trades.
• Co-ordinate all aspects of the manhole works so that the work is completed in line with client requirements, within budget and on time.
• Issue Work Instructions and Risk Assessments associated with the works
• Plan, co-ordinate and manage resources required to complete works
• Regular monitoring of work progress reporting to the Openreach manager
• Ensure suitable levels of supervision of all direct resource and sub-contractors
• Ensure installation complies with Openreach build requirements
• Ensure site audits and reports are completed on time
• Ensure weekly track sheets and diaries are completed and submitted on time.
• Delivery of Toolbox Talks
• Ensure the safety of self and others whilst working
• Work well as part of a wider team
• Be able to liaise with the training coordinator regarding specific training requirements for site.

Qualifications

• Existing experience as a site manager
• CPCS and CSCS Cards
• SMSTS
• NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor
• Confined Spaces
• Deep Excavation / Temporary Works Supervisor
• Emergency First Aid
• Smart Awards Accreditations

Operational Hours of Work

7am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Travel and Flexibility

You will be based out of our Salford Depot with regular travel to site. You will be required to travel to alternative sites to meet the needs of the business and therefore must have a full driving licence.
