The Management Segment Product Manager role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role
The difference our new Management Segment Product Manager will make
As a Management Segment Product Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting a vital MILSATCOM Service Delivery Organisation to lead the transformation of an existing OSS/BSS system, using the latest products and open standards. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you’ll also be part of a multi-million pound programme of technology change. This is a fast-paced, challenging role on a significant project.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the Engineering lifecycle from requirements specification, design, production, test, integration and assurance and you’ll be responsible for delivering Assurance Case as part of the established engineering process. You’ll develop a fully coordinated strategy and roadmaps for transformation from legacy Management Segment functionality to modern approach and employ a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach. You’ll represent Babcock at stakeholder meetings, Governance forums, Design Reviews and Readiness Assessment activities.

Essential experience
• Proven significant experience in the design, integration and delivery of Enterprise OSS/BSS systems, including Network Management Tools, ITSM tools, KPI performance tools
• In-depth knowledge of Systems Engineering processes on large and/or complex engineering projects
• Demonstratable experience in the defence or telecommunication industry, ideally MILSATCOM but not essential.
• Demonstratable experience of project delivery in Agile engineering environments, ideally understanding of ISO Systems and Software engineering
