About the job

WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Software Delivery Engineer, you’ll be a key member of the team delivering software for the Powertrain Control Module that supports our world-class high-performance ICE and electrified vehicles.  You will work alongside subject experts, programme delivery engineers, certification teams, in-house software/networks teams and external software suppliers to define and deliver the roadmaps to production-ready software that delivers value to the customer.

The Software Delivery Lead Engineer will be working with these experts in development activities from concept through to final sign-off. This will include software requirements definition to recognised industry standards, as well as managing the requirements database for programmes and managing test case completion for delivery gateways. Success will be measured by delivering right-first-time software increments to your stakeholder on budget and on time to a gateway/build milestone. You will be the interface between delivery and software management teams to make sure this happens, facilitating the resolution of roadblocks en route, and using burndown charts to track progress against the agreed profile.

You will be working with the Propulsion Group software manager to agree software costs and timing, writing RFQ’s in support of these supplier negotiations, and you will also be working with certification teams in document creation for the approval process. You will be engaging with suppliers in weekly reviews on progress and blockers and working with the software release teams to deliver new product and valuable software increments to manufacturing.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As a Software Delivery Lead Engineer, you will need to be an individual who demonstrates our Creators' Code behaviours of Customer Love, Unity, Integrity, Growth, and Impact; continually working hard to deliver a modern luxury experience to earn and keep our customers’ trust and loyalty. You will be results-driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment and able to prioritise your workload.
