WHAT TO EXPECT –

Based at our principal design and engineering centre in Gaydon (CV35 0RR), offering a hybrid working model, the Propulsion Software Integration team is expanding to create the next generation of modern luxury vehicles. 

Our mission is to continuously align and manage the software integration and feature ramp-up of our propulsion products.  We deliver an overall test and integration plan for the propulsion domain, including overall guidelines, prioritization, platform services, milestones, transparent reporting, and standardization in communications.

As part of the Propulsion Software Integration team, you will ensure continuous software integration across the propulsion systems through the life cycle of the vehicle programs.  You will provide the appropriate transparency and prioritization between the vehicle teams and the propulsion software teams. You will lead the verification and delivery of an integrated Propulsion control system and lead the resolution of issues.   

You will also synchronize with other areas of Engineering such as autonomous driving and motion control to ensure seamless functionality across the vehicle. As part of an inclusive team, we operate with an agile mindset to rapidly deliver great innovation for our customers.

Other aspects of this role include:

• Regular communication with stakeholders to ensure highest value development is prioritised and latest plans are understood and delivered.
• Delivery of integrated software packs for the Propulsion systems used in each vehicle programme.
• Regular review of System Requirements and application of Failure Mode Avoidance principles.
• Ensuring sufficient test case coverage for system verification on vehicles and multi-ECU HIL rigs.
• Integration point testing is planned and delivered on a regular basis to ensure robust and up to date software is always available.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Ability to coordinate multiple activities across teams to ensure synchronisation of programme deliverables.
• Experience of software system issue investigation and root cause analysis (8D, DMAIC)
• A technical background in software controls or system integration
• Experience of project management and system engineering principle
• Awareness of Propulsion systems, including high voltage electrified components

Desirable:

• Previous involvement in defining and verifying requirements for Systems, Features and Attributes.
• Practical experience of planning and running verification tests
• Understanding of ASPICE framework, functional safety (including ISO 26262) and cyber security.
• Experience of the following desirable, but training can be provided ; Canalyser, Atlassian suite (JIRA, XRAY), 3Dx TRM, Gitlab, Python, Tableau
