Salary: Circa £34000 depending on experience

The opportunity:

Do you want to play a significant part in the development of our Supplier Planning activities, aligning us to the Oliver Wight Class A standards? As MBDA develops its Operational Excellence process, an opportunity has arisen to work within the Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) business, with close working relationships with Manufacturing Operations. You'll have specific supplier/category opportunities to drive improved delivery and inventory performance. The business is fully behind this important initiative and so it is a perfect time to deliver some significant change and improvements.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Working in an MRP Planning background
  • Experienced at working with a large ERP system, ideally SAP
  • Goal orientated with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities
  • Experience of liaising with suppliers and Purchase Orders, as well as within a manufacturing environment
  • Results oriented with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities and able to drive key decisions through the supply base
  • Experience of working with suppliers and scheduled orders/PO`s
  • Ideally with experience of both working with suppliers as well as within a manufacturing environment with an ability to negotiate to meet deadlines
  • Collaborator management
  • Ability to have a full picture view and work cross functionally
  • Continuous improvements mind-set
  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience of working with/ Implementation of Air Supply would be a distinct advantage
  • CPIM or prepared to work towards it
