The role

As a Supply Chain Engineer you will have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working where your knowledge and drive is really needed to make a difference, an exciting new project with international exposure.

Responsibilities include the design and development and Direct Repair Scheme / Line Repairable Unit repair solution to deliver phases 2 and 3. On going responsibility for planning and management of associated repair activities to ensure optimum repairable assets availability in support the Blueprint requirement. Striving to expand the Blueprint Repair Management capabilities and encourage innovation and business growth.

Main tasks

  • Design and develop the DRS and LRU repair phases of Blueprint
  • Engage with internal stakeholder to exploit any repairs that could be undertaken within Babcock
  • Minimise use of MOD based repair enterprise to fulfil Blueprint demand
  • In conjunction with engineering, define and establish a forward repair screening capability
  • Identify expedient repair options to maintain equipment availability, including developing in country and near country repair agents
  • Create a plan for every part to cover all repairable NSNs in scope, considering all options including Direct Repair Scheme/Repair/new buy etc.

Essential experience of the Line Repairable Unit Manager

  • Significant supply chain experience
  • Engineering background
  • Experience of the MoD Supply Chain, Repair Management.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe
  • Full driving licence
  • Proven management record across the supply chain
