The role
As a Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity to join an established and successful delivery team, executing fast paced, complex engineering projects in support of the Royal Navy's Surface Ship fleet; Creating a safe and secure world, together.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Assist the Senior Support Engineer (SSE) with the management of all production paperwork for the refit.
  • Assist the SSE with the production and control of Manageable Tasks and to ensure all supporting information is in place prior to release with use of the 12, 7 and 5 Week Look Ahead reports.
  • Support the SSE and Shop Controller with timely delivery of items to production by raising appropriate SRI's within realistic timescales.
  • Monitor and control all hoses ensuring within test date and available for production as not to cause delays to programme.
  • Assist with undertaking and entering surveys to support the SSE and project

In this full time role, you'll work onsite at our Devonport Dockyard site for 36 hours per week.

Essential experience of the Support Engineer

  • Competent in verbal & written communications
  • The ability to interface with managers & customers.
  • Demonstrate experience in an Engineering or Technical Environment
  • Computer literate and experienced in operating company.

Qualifications for the Support Engineer:

  • ONC, BTEC Level 3 or an equivalent qualification in an Engineering / Technical Subject, or as determined by the Employing manager due to previous relevant experience.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
