Bruton Knowles LLP is an independently owned Chartered Surveying practice who provide a comprehensive range of surveying and property services. Our geographic reach covers the whole of England and Wales with clients in utilities and infrastructure, valuation, commercial, planning and development and rural.

We've taken on new, innovative ways of working to deliver our services and we've created a new strategy to target key areas of growth for the business, resulting in the launch our new Utilities and Infrastructure team, our new National Valuation Team and further development for our Rural team whilst bolstering our activity in commercial, planning and development.

The role:

Due to significant growth within our utilities and infrastructure business we are looking to appoint Land Rights Specialists and Surveyors from entry to senior level within Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. Work is predominantly home based with visits and odd days spent in the Cambridge and Bury-St-Edmunds offices.

Main duties are to undertake the acquisition of land / rights in land and carry out compensation work including utility and infrastructure projects which are nationally significant supporting transport, gas, water and electricity schemes.

You'll be valued as an individual, supported and mentored by the best in the field whatever your experience level. With opportunities in multiple areas including utilities and infrastructure, valuation, commercial, rural, in both the private and public sector you will be working on projects for prestigious clients from individuals to large national organisations.

About you:

Whether from a rural or a commercial background, candidates will have suitable experience and skills to facilitate delivery of land referencing, negotiating land rights and dealing with compensation claims.

The job will require someone who has a proven track record in organising their own personal workload and responsibilities, the ability to determine priorities and consistently meet deadlines, providing an effective and efficient platform for the team to operate successfully.

Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification or working towards a level that is accredited by the RICS and/or qualified as a Technical or Member of the RICS is preferred but not essential.

Essential Criteria:
