The role
As a System and Equipment Support Director, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Empowering the operational success of customers, through ensuring availability of platforms, equipment, support and systems. You will make a direct difference to the Royal Navy and International Navies. This role will take us on a journey to grow globally.

Day to day, you'll direct, manage and sustain the system and equipment support to our current and future customer base to enable the Business Unit to achieve its mission;

  • Lead the delivery of existing contracts
  • Develop organisational capability to deliver systems and equipment support to meet the contract needs of current and future customers
  • Integrate organisational capability within the value-stream - own the capability to win future bids / needs.
  • Manage and build relationships within the customer and key suppliers for system and equipment support
  • Supporting the definition and development of support solutions for future customers
  • Collaborate with other Babcock businesses and external partners to identify new market opportunities and to develop new products or services

This role is full time - 36 hours and will be based on site at either Bristol Business Park or Devonport Royal Dockyard three days per week with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Essential experience of the System and Equipment Support Director:

  • Track record of delivering and managing performance with appropriate business / commercial understanding
  • Demonstrable track record of leading and motivating to deliver support in a safe and sustainable way
  • Collaborative approach to forming, developing and sustaining relationships across a range of stakeholders, including Customer, Supplier and Business
  • Experience of resolving obsolescence, customer problems, enabling availability of equipment / provisions

Qualifications for the System and Equipment Support Director:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
