The role is in the Assisted and Automated Driving Motion Control (AADMC) team. The team develops control systems and delivers software design for existing and future Chassis, Electrical, ADAS Motion Control, and various new technologies for enhancing the driving experience and working towards the goal of autonomous driving.

The role is supporting the development of next generation ADAS motion control systems into ECUs, vehicles, rigs, and virtual environments within a team specialised in the creation and deployment of ADAS motion control functions. The control systems delivered cover a wide range of autonomy from ADAS level 1 to ADAS level 4. The role leads the system engineering team responsible to deliver products based on MBSE (MODEL BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING) within the Assisted and Automated Driving Domain and upskills a technical discipline team responsible to design and deliver control systems which support ADAS features.

The technical discipline team you lead require a strong modelling focus to progress the development of Assisted and Automated Driving Systems through the development V Cycle, while being deployed in Agile squads. Delivering the creation of model-based engineering artefacts and associated solutions supports Jaguar Land Rover’s vision of Zero Road Traffic Incidents while bringing greater value to our customers with pioneering, modern luxury products.

You will be accountable for the quality of the engineering artifacts such as models, system requirements, system logical design. You will ensure that the output meets global regulated requirements, Functional Safety requirements and Jaguar Land Rover design standards and guidelines. You have extensive knowledge in System Engineering processes and its use in the design and delivery process. You have in-depth knowledge of motion systems (ADAS, brakes, steering, powertrain). You can investigate the feasibility of solutions, using high-level system architecture, functional analysis, and modelling. You will ensure the system engineering chapter output is of high quality and software produced with it is traceable. In your chapter, you will oversee the design and development of the control functions, demonstration of new concepts and systems whilst working to ensure the system is robust and robust to changes in requirements.
