A fantastic opportunity to join our Sparkworks team, working on future programmes of ground breaking weapon systems.

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a System Performance Lead for a Sparkworks Programme. As part of the role, you will be responsible for a number of activities, including:

  • Conducting system-level performance evaluations of a novel concept against their requirements
  • Conducting trade studies to inform lower-level design
  • Generate and agree scenarios with key customer to be used for scenario-based performance testing
  • Delivery of Performance Statements to customers
  • Definition of the modelling strategy to conduct these assessment
  • Ownership of development and delivery of models and algorithms
  • Coordinating inputs from wider functions to support system design and performance analysis
What we're looking for from you:
  • DV cleared engineer with a broad systems engineering background, preferably covering all phases of development from concept to certification
  • Experience in the management, development and use of tools, simulations, and algorithms produced in Matlab and Simulink
  • Ability to work at pace within a broad multi-functional team, delivering complex information into project collaborators
  • Experience in data analysis and technical report writing
  • Ability to develop requirements collaboratively with partners
