AWE has new opportunities for Systems Engineers (Configuration Specialists) at varying levels of experience, to join their Product Configuration Management Team to support the AWE mission on several technically challenging and rewarding projects.

Location: Reading Area

Salary: £35,720 - £48,000 (dependent on experience)

Within these roles, you will help lead the implementation of the Corporate Configuration Management Strategy and Standards within designated area(s) of responsibility, under the direction of the Product Configuration Management (CM) Team Leader and Product CM Technical Authority.

The output of the strategy will ensure a consistent Configuration Management System across all Product areas.

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • A working knowledge of technical engineering or information management-based projects
  • An understanding of the elements of Configuration Management
  • Familiarity with the requirements of Def Stan 05-57 and the CMII model
  • Experience with PLM toolsets, such as Teamcenter or Windchill and have the aptitude to use similar applications
  • Experience of working on technical projects
  • ONC / HNC in a mechanical, electrical or systems discipline or experience working in a similar environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
