An exciting opportunity for a Technical Account Manager to join a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions used by tier 1and tier 2 integrators in defence/aerospace
This role would be ideally suited to a junior technical account manager or an electronic or software engineer with customer-facing potential who is interested in transitioning to sales.
Technical Account Manager
£30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience plus commission (OTE £40,000 – £50,000)

Your Skills: Excellent communication skills, degree in engineering discipline (or equivalent), experience in the defence, aerospace and/or telecom sectors is desirable, sales experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
Product / Service: World leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Products used in communications, energy, industrial automation, medical, defence, aerospace, research/physics and transportation.
Our company is growing rapidly from an established position in commercial (communications, medical, research) and defence (aerospace, naval, ground mobile) markets with an impressive product and IP portfolio.
The UK entity has a highly successful and close-knit team supporting customers across the UK and Europe from our purpose-built facility on the edge of the New Forest. Significant corporate investment in new test and production facilities is driving additional growth worldwide and the company is looking for additional technical sales resource in the UK to support this.
The business is AS9100 certified with a dedicated 92,500 square foot manufacturing and engineering facilities located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Junior Account Manager Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Account Manager to come on board and progress into the sales function of the role. Key deliverables are:
+ Clearly defined customer requirements, captured by phone/email/remote discussion
+ Processable purchase orders (price, terms, etc. complying with company requirements)
+ Input to customer/opportunity profiles
+ Identification and pursuit of new prospects, converting them to long-term customers
+ Generation of quotes and proposals
+ Confirming product suitability against customer-defined requirements
+ Assisting in defining system configurations
+ Supporting colleagues in a small-team environment
Full sales and product training will be provided. The initial role will be an Internal Account Manager, where performance is incentivised by quarterly bonus, with any successful candidate transitioning to an uncapped commission-earning Technical Account Manager role within 12-18 months. Compensation offered will be commensurate with candidate capability and experience and includes generous pension contribution.
+ Degree in engineering discipline (or equivalent)
+ Communication skills appropriate for a customer-facing role
+ Ability to work as part of a small (UK-based) team within a larger international context
+ Experience of embedded computing would be advantageous
+ Experience in the defence, aerospace and/or telecom sectors is desirable
+ Sales experience would be beneficial but not necessary
