Who we are:

We are Eco2Solar, one of the UK's leading Eco Renewable Energy Technology companies within the new build housing & commercial sector.

Having come from humble beginnings working from our CEO, Paul’s home 13 years ago, we are now the UKs largest and most successful Solar PV installer and were recently invested in by EON. Significant changes to the English Building Regulations lead us to believe that we will grow by up to FIVE times in the next FOUR YEARS and we have endless opportunities for growth and progression for those wanting to come along for the ride.

We have installed our green energy technology on more than 20,000 buildings across the UK, including schools, hospitals, medical centres, universities and distribution centres and new-build housing.

Despite winning backing from a larger brand we continue to operate as an independent, ambitious, fast-moving, agile and tight-knit SME backed by the stability of a stock-market listed brand. Win-Win!

We're passionate about what we do and our people and live by our values:

+ We live and breathe our values – excellence, innovation, fairness and trust.
+ We believe the company culture is of huge importance and we empower our employees to contribute to this on a daily basis.
+ We are a market leader and we promote from within.
+ We constantly innovate and look for better ways.
+ We give our people personal development plans and a road map that shows them what they need to do in order to get where they want to go.

What you’ll be doing as a Technical Assistant:

Your mission is to work with our Technical Manager and be the first line of contact for all technical queries (Solar PV systems), providing support to both colleagues and customers.

You will be creating technical designs for Solar PV installations (full training given) so that all systems have been designed correctly ready for installation.

You will be responding to phone calls and emails for all technical queries. Our Technical Manager will be on hand to assist in complex technical queries but you will be responsible for handling all incoming enquiries initially and escalating where you need help.

About You:

+ A keen eye for detail
+ Analytical
+ Highly organised
+ A general understanding of how things work and grasp basic technical concepts (although specific training will be given)
+ High standard of written and verbal communication
+ Share our values and help the team

What we will give you:

We will give you a great culture to work in, flexible hours, a friendly and engaging team with the autonomy to work alone but with constant support and motivation from your colleagues. We will set you clear expectations and give you daily, weekly and quarterly feedback so that you know exactly what you need to do to be successful.

We will listen to your opinion and work together to find a better way of doing things every day. We carry out employee happiness surveys every quarter and can share these with you to give you a feeling for the environment that we offer.

We will work with you to put in place a development plan so that you can quickly move through the company and develop and learn as a person. Nearly all of our key people in senior positions have started in entry level positions and worked their way quickly through the company over a short period of time. If you have the attitude and ambition then we can stretch and develop you; or if you are happy to do your best and give your all then that’s also fine!

We will give you a purpose to work for a company who is making a difference for future generations, who is constantly innovating and providing services that help reduce our carbon footprint and tackle climate change.
