Norbar Torque Tools Ltd., the world leading torque tool manufacturer, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified person to join our dynamic and free-thinking Engineering Team.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is able to support the wider engineering team with regards to the implementation of new product, and with our extensive range of legacy product.

Responsible to the Engineering Manager, your duties will include:

• Supporting the Design Engineering team in detailing solutions using Siemens NX whilst adhering to H&S procedures and practices;
• The creation and Maintenance of Business System data i.e. Bill of Materials;
• Product testing and report writing;
• Performing general Engineering Change tasks using PLM system (Siemens Team Center).

Ideally you will be:

• A time served apprentice in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline, with HNC or an equivalent qualification;
• Capable of evaluating designs and processes as well as developing ideas and solutions to practical challenges;
• Experienced in using 3D CAD Software (Siemens NX desirable but not essential) along with a clear understanding of the principles of GD&T.

In return for a 38.5-hour week, we can offer a competitive salary in the range of £45,000 - £51,000
