Job Title:

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Technical Specialist – Geometric Variation Analyst (GVA).

Plan, lead and control tolerance analysis activities across the Mechanical Engineering Function for the next generation of missiles working with skilled engineers.

What we're looking for from you:

High performing teams need high performing and highly competent individuals. To be suitable for this role, candidates will be able to demonstrate a number of the following attributes:

-              Ideally HND/HNC/Degree qualified with significant experience in 3D tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

-              Significant experience in functional tolerance analysis and Design for Assembly tolerancing, with the ability to operate across the Mechanical Engineering function to support and train colleagues, develop processes and guide departmental tool choices and strategy.

-              In depth knowledge of detail mechanical design, complex mechanical systems and definition required for manufacture and assembly.

-              Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for the subject, with proven track record in presenting, delivering training and providing specialist technical support to a large team.

-              Significant knowledge of applicable standards & processes, including BS8888

-              Familiarity with 3D model based tolerance analysis software such as CETOL 6σ would be an advantage
