Salary: £37,500 - £46,200 per year

Job Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Chemring Countermeasures have an exciting opportunity for a Test House Engineer position in their well-established, UKAS accredited, Test House team with. Chemring Countermeasures is looking for a motivated individual who can work well individually and in a team environment. Knowledge of Climatic testing & Vibration testing would be beneficial, however extensive training will be provided. Engineers from a Quality/Product Development background with an understanding of Quality systems and Product development processes will be considered.

The position is a hands-on role, applicants are to have mechanical sympathy and not be afraid to get their hands dirty.

Responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for the conduct of assigned environmental test programs for internal or external customers through to compilation of final test report.
• Maintain records of Test House activities and produce written reports.
• Introduction, and maintenance of, Test House vibration hardware / fixtures.
• Maintenance of vibration test equipment & fixture, including cross axial motion checks, and annual shaker health checks.
• Review & incorporation of the latest international test standards.
• Assist in the liaison with internal and external customers in assessing customer requirements and producing test instructions when required.
• Participant in UKAS audit team.

Test House Engineer Specification:

• Right to live and work in the UK with ability to obtain SC Security Clearance (5 years UK residency necessary).
• Experience working in a Test Lab/Test House or Quality/Product development environment.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of test standards and quality management systems.
• Ability to assess risk and hazards, advantageous.
• Proficient MS Office skills - Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, advantageous.
