The Role

We are looking for an experienced toolmaker to help produce in house tooling and chucks.

Main Responsibilities

• Manufacture high quality tooling with maximum efficiency
• Competently and safely use manual milling machines, grinders and lathe
• Build/fit /assemble/ polish tooling and dies using hand tools and equipment
• Work to engineering drawings
• Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
• Use CMM to check tooling, jigs and fixtures are within tolerance

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience of lathe turning steel tools to drawing is essential
• Experience of using other tool shop machinery, milling, grinding, etc.
• Experience of assembling press tools, tool repair and experience of tool design and or CNC lathe operation (Desirable)
• Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
• Able to work under own initiative
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to commute to WS9 8EP (essential), free on-site parking available
