An opportunity has arisen to join the UK Treasury Function in Stevenage as Treasury Manager.
Reporting to the Group Head of Treasury Operations, you will promote a customer based service to the MBDA UK business, including the following:
As part of your role, you will:
Optimise cash position for MBDA UK on a daily basis, anticipating short term, mid-term and long term movements.
Monitor Risks and Opportunities to the cash position of the business and highlight these to the Group Treasury team
In charge of monitoring cash forecasting (6 weeks, monthly, annually) liaising with Programme Finance and Procurement, running monthly cash meeting and presenting to UK FD at Senior Cash Review and Group Treasurer at Quarterly Cash Review
Ensure effective analysis of variances against forecast and budget and being able to explain cash variances versus budget through reporting
Optimise services offered by relationship banks following the Group Treasury guidelines
Responsible for managing FX exposure risks with the UK project teams / lead hedging activity for the UK. Be a partner of Accounting department in respect of IFRS 9.
Review UK FX monthly balances and make recommendations for UK spot deals
Support ongoing improvement activities within the Treasury function in the UK especially regarding tools and systems
Support ongoing Group improvement activity implementing SAP4HANA across MBDA
Lead a team of 2 people, take responsibility for the One to One review process and provide regular coaching and feedback to enhance overall team performance
Build a clear vision for the team and handle change sensitively, ensuring the necessary skill mix, resources and facilities are available
Provide expert advice, guidance and support to team members and internal customers
Communicate with all levels effectively; challenge, negotiate and influence to achieve a desired goal/outcome
Focal point for both internal and external Auditors
Oversee / general management of company purchasing cards.
Back up of Group Treasury Operations Manager when needed (Front office role)
Work collaboratively with Treasury Operations Managers in France, Italy & Germany
What we're looking for
Good knowledge of Excel
Experience of SAP
Strong leadership skills
Strong analytical and financial skills
Have significant experience in Treasury and Foreign exchange risk management
Cash flow forecasting
Ability to persuade, challenge and influence different internal and external interfaces in an international environment
Ability and commitment of working to tight timescales
Reactivity, proactivity and autonomy
