Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Uncrewed Ground Vehicle (UGV) Team - Service Technician

This is a hand-on role where you will interact with multiple customers and technical specialists delivering a UAV/UGV service. You will manage aerial, ground and submersible systems, sensors, cameras and complimentary software.

Role: Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Uncrewed Ground Vehicle (UGV) Team - Service Technician

Location: Reading Area

Salary: £35,720 - £44,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities of the role are:

  • Development of new and emerging UAV/UGV systems and associated software
  • Support the Task Manager in scoping, planning, and estimating future activities
  • Contribute to the production and delivery of high-quality technical reports and presentations

Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

  • Practical engineering experience, ideally combined with the use and knowledge of UAV/UGV's.
  • Experience of managing small engineering projects and delivering to Quality, Time, and Cost.
  • Basic understanding of complementary technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), 3D Mapping and Modelling, Thermography, Virtual Reality (VR) and/or automated systems.
  • Strong organisational and critical thinking skills.

We would like candidates to have:

  • A2 C of C (Drone Certificate of Competency).
  • GVC Qualified UAV Pilot.
  • Electronic/Electrical engineering experience

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
