Job Title: UPS Service Engineer

Location: London - Field based.

Salary: Competitive.

Job type: Full Time - Permanent. 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Flexibility in working hours is required. Weekend and evening cover may be required on a rota basis with the other Engineers.

The Role/Duties & Requirements:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide service, maintenance, fault finding, repair and refurbishment of UPS as required.

• Carry out routine maintenance on AC and DC UPS systems and batteries as detailed by the Service Manager/Coordinator. The work shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant work standard.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair AC and DC UPS systems and batteries as detailed by the Service Manager/Coordinator.
• Carry out and/or supervise installation work on AC and DC UPS systems and batteries as detailed by the Service Manager/Coordinator.
• Carry out charger and UPS upgrades and modifications.
• Site surveys.
• RAMS assistance.

The Candidate: 

Qualifications required - 

• Degree, HNC/HND in electrical/electronic engineering, or equivalent, with a bias towards power.

Experience Required - 

• Knowledge of AC and DC UPS systems and batteries.
• Suitable training will be provided for the systems on which you will be expected to work.

Extra Information:

Offshore Working -

You may be expected to work offshore as and when required.

You may be required to pass an offshore medical and any appropriate training courses/accreditations.

Overseas Working -

You will be required to work overseas.

Communication -

Service reports will be required to be completed and submitted in a timely manner.

DBS Check -

An application for a DBS certificate will be submitted in the event of you being offered this position.
