WHAT TO EXPECT

 A talented Vehicle Efficiency Feature Technical Specialist is sought to create and deliver customer features and capabilities that are linked to vehicle efficiency, electrical efficiency, and thermal management.

This is an opportunity to create an ecosystem that encourages innovative ideas for vehicle efficiency, transforming ideas into “statements of intent” or “statements of capability” for the feature.

This is the kind of role that will give you exposure to electric vehicle efficiency; a good overview of different domains including energy consumption associated with self-driving vehicles, and exposure to advance controls techniques (model predictive and model base controllers in conjunction with artificial intelligence / machine learning)


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • You’ll oversee the interface with controls and software delivery teams, work collaboratively with UI and UX teams, to design and execute verification and validation plans for the features.
  • You will be accountable for the tools, methods & processes required for the Design V&V of features & capabilities of complex systems owned or supported by the team.
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring the product compliance of the features in line with any legislative & regulatory requirements that these features & capabilities must adhere to. You shall lead the platform development for a Efficiency feature continuum for continuous improvement either through program delivery or via Software-over-the-air (SOTA).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You'll have experience of having operated in the control system development space for complex systems or features design & delivery along with having In depth knowledge of control systems & feature product ownership, ideally within an agile framework.

You'll also have experience of system ownership or feature ownership and a solid understanding of thermal systems, electrical systems and energy management.

Additionally, you'll come to the role with in-depth knowledge of automotive electrical & signal network architectures and protocols and a proficiency with Matlab, Matlab Simulink & Tableau along with a
track record of managing design validation via Model in Loop and Hardware in Loop.

Finally, you'll have an established and credible academic or experience-based knowledge of complex system controls and feature interfaces.
